About Tuga Sunwear's Sun protection clothing
Sun protection clothing for everyone

We created the Tuga Sunwear line of sun protection clothing in order to give kids and parents the ability to assure the best sun protection from harmful UV damage, but do so in a fun and fashionable way.
Our philosophy is that in order to protect your skin from the sun, you don't have to go to the extreme by wearing clothing that tries to cover every inch of skin. We also don't think that you have to trade off style and fashion for sun protection. Too many products on the market focus on the utilitarian approach and forget the fact that in order for the products to be effective, they have to be used. And kids will not use products that ar boring or "un-cool", but they will love Tuga's sun protection clothing.
Our goal is to educate parents and kids on safe sun habits and to provide a program of sun protection products that make it fun and easy to do so. Tuga Sunwear sun protection clothing is designed to provide greater body coverage, yet still be functional. Our sun protection clothing's patterns are designed to be form fitting and to incorporate stylish cuts. And through the use of colorful designs we make sure kids are looking the best at the beach or the pool. For our sun protection clothing we use fabrics that are made specifically, both through the knitting and dying process, to meet the 50+ UPF standards of blocking 97.5% of UV rays.
There is clear consensus in the medical community that skin cancer can be virtually 100% prevented by developing 5 sun safety habits early in life:
1. Use SPF 15+ sunscreen
2. Wear sun protection clothing
3. Protect the eyes with UV400 sunglasses
4. Cover the head ears neck and face with a sun protection hat
5. Reduce time spent in the sun from 10am to 4pm.
The Tuga Sunwear line of sun protection clothing take care of most of those sun safety measures when kids are at the beach and in the water. Most people do not know that the average person receives 80% of his/her lifetime sun exposure before the age of 18. With the increasing rates of skin cancer it is imperative that we teach good sun care habits at an early age.
